We offer two different services, baptism or blessing (naming ceremony) and there are a few very important differences.
A christening (or baptism) is a service where the parents and Godparents make promises and commitments to God on behalf of the child, water is sprinkled on the child’s head and a candle given. You will also get a certificate of baptism and each Godparent will receive a Godparent card too.
A blessing or naming is ceremony is a service where the parents make promises to each other and to their child. The child will have sponsors and not Godparents. You will be given a certificate of blessing and the sponsors will receive a card too.
We also offer adult baptisms.

Confirmation is the opportunity to confirm the vows you made at your baptism. If you are interested in finding out more about this, please speak to a member of clergy.
